When Josh Kice, owner of Ink & Drink in Denver, Colorado, received an email to possibly host a date night for an upcoming season of a popular Netflix reality dating TV show, he couldn’t resist seizing the opportunity. After all, the notoriety and possible exposure this opportunity could provide the business would be most welcome. After a few weeks and months of going back and forth with production representatives, Kice and team finally arrived at the day of filming the date for one couple on the Denver season of “Love is Blind.”

Even those who have never watched the show have likely heard of it. But despite it roots in finding love, Kice’s experience once all was said and done was as tumultuous as many of the couples’ relationships. Kice sat down with Apparelist Content Director Cassie Green to discuss what it was like working with a major reality platform, the disappointment felt at the final airing of the footage, and his advice to any decorator looking to take advantage of similar opportunities.
