Campus Ink Makes Inc. 5000 List for a Third Time
For the third time, Campus Ink has been named to the Inc. 5000 list this year. Inc. 5000 is the publication’s annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Coming in at 4,176 for the 2023 rankings, the company is grateful to add yet another benchmark to its tremendous growth over the last few years, according to Steven Farag, CEO. The first year the company made the list was in 2018, with a ranking of 2,804.
According to Inc., companies on the 2023 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. The publication states about this year’s rankings, “To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2022. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2019 is $100,000; the minimum for 2022 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine rankings were calculated to four decimal places.”
Campus Ink made the list under the “Retail” category. The company was listed at 4,447 in 2022.
Farag notes that Campus Ink has gone through quite a bit of change in the last several years, experiencing a large amount of growth after an investment from Mark Cuban. “Today, Campus Ink built the NIL Store, which is the leading platform in college sports for athletes to make money off their name, image, and likeness,” he adds. “In the past 18 months, Campus Ink has become licensed with over 50 universities and supports several thousand athletes.”
Making this list is all about the Campus Ink team for Farag. “It’s less for me and more for our team to be able to see all their hard work come to fruition,” he says of the honor. “I have the best team in the world, and they deserve all the credit.”
