Campus Ink continues to create waves in the NIL (name, image, likeness) space with its latest partnership with Virginia Tech, which was announced last week. The two announced a total school solution partnership that will provide NIL merchandising opportunities for all Hokies student-athletes.

Like its other NIL partnerships, the NIL Store powered by Campus Ink will launch a complete NIL merchandise store for Virginia Tech student-athletes, which will feature officially licensed jerseys, shirseys, and apparel. Every athlete signed up will also get a personalized digital locker room that will house their merchandise.

The partnership got its start when two-time ACC Pitcher of the Year Keely Rochard of the Virginia Tech softball team became the first NIL co-licensed athlete in Virginia Tech history. “The partnership with Virginia Tech was primarily started because of the success we had with the women’s softball team,” explains Steven Farag, CEO at Campus Ink. “We worked with Keely Rochard to create the first ever NIL co-licensed merch deal for a Virginia Tech athlete.”

Rochard commemorated that achievement with her first line of co-branded apparel. The line includes Rochard shirseys, long-sleeve shirts, and hoodies featuring white, orange, and maroon colorways in adult and youth sizes.

The Campus Ink team handles all the creative, product creation, design, marketing, fulfillment, and customer service for its student-athletes. Additionally, the company works directly with student-athletes to educate them on merchandising, marketing, and sales trends to develop strategies for optimal success.

“We are working with schools directly to build co-licensed NIL solutions for their athletes,” Farag adds. “You can expect to hear about several more partnerships in the upcoming future!”
