Campus Ink and The Brandr Group (TBG) have announced a partnership aimed at accelerating opportunities for co-branded consumer products through Campus Ink’s family of NIL (name, image, likeness) Stores and its Urban Champs private label jersey brand.

According to a press release, the collaboration further enables Campus Ink and TBG to deliver their shared mission of providing payouts to men’s and women’s collegiate student-athletes through co-licensed and custom merchandise. Campus Ink will kick off its license through TBG with The Ohio State University and Michigan State University.

“We became very familiar with Riley, Ryan, and The Brandr Group team over the past year and discovered ourselves in similar circles as we talked to current and prospective institutions,” says Adam Cook, director of NIL for Campus Ink, of how the relationship began. “With TBG’s ability to create co-branded licensing opportunities using group player rights and Campus Ink’s intuitive NIL merchandising and production platform, we believe there is great synergy that will ultimately lead to creating more opportunities for student-athletes while still providing them with industry-leading commissions.”

Cook notes that the two companies have been hard at work developing the partnership agreement over the last couple months. “This will greatly expedite our school and student-athlete onboarding process as we expand our offerings across the country and help student-athletes profit off of their NIL in the merchandising space with our industry-leading payouts,” he adds.

Cook believes the partnership with Michigan State is a great example of how this partnership with TBG will come to life. “Spartan athletes were educated about the opportunity with Campus Ink through TBG’s group licensing system,” he says. “In a couple of weeks, we will open our Michigan State NIL Store with more than 100 Spartan athletes fully onboarded with core products and fashion jerseys at the time of launch.”

This is just the latest partnership formed by Campus Ink in the NIL space. Recently, the company also penned a deal with Meta. It aids college athletes in debuting their custom merch on Instagram using shoppable Reels.
