In January of this year, STAHLS’ Hotronix announced the expansion of its Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, manufacturing facility. It broke ground on the project at the end of 2022 after a growing demand for Hotronix heat presses and the need for more space.

The expansion adds 35,000 sq. ft. to the facility, tripling its 2022 capacity and bringing the Hotronix facilities to a total of 100,000 sq. ft. In an April 17 post to Ted Stahl’s Blog, the team shares photo and video progress of the expansion and thanks customers for their support since 1986.

Chief Manufacturing Officer Ben Robinson tells Apparelist the expansion will create many new jobs, including positions for welders, assemblers, warehousing, technicians, and engineers.

The expansion is expected to be completed this summer, and Robinson says, “Full tilt we can triple capacity.”

He adds his thanks to employees for their dedication throughout the process and to apparel decorators for using and recommending Hotronix.
