Peloton Now Sells a Selection of Equipment, Apparel on Amazon
Peloton announced that it has reached a deal with Amazon to sell exercise equipment, accessories, and apparel on the retail giant’s U.S. website. It’s a move that is likely part of the stationary bike manufacturer’s attempts to reinvigorate sales.
According to a report from The New York Times, the deal is Peloton’s first attempt to sell products outside of its direct-to-consumer model, i.e., its e-commerce site and showrooms. The products available on Amazon include the infamous stationary bike and the Peloton Guide, which is a training device. The company’s more expensive Bike+ machine and Tread treadmill are not available on Amazon.
Buyers will also be able to shop an assortment of Peloton gear on Amazon. Currently available are the bike shoes, dumbbells, and other workout accessories like towels and water bottles.
Readers may also recall that Peloton has an extensive line of workout apparel as well. Several items such as leggings, tanks, and hats are also for sale on Amazon. Customers can search for the products in Amazon stores to see if they are available for purchase and delivery in their area, said Peloton in a press statement.
