Sustainability is now a crucial part of the apparel decorating industry. Shops everywhere are paying attention and incorporating it; those that aren’t will likely be forced to in the coming years as legislation starts to take hold.

Throughout the month of April, the focus on sustainability takes center stage. Earth Month is often the time when brands launch new eco-friendly lines, open up conversations about traceability, and work to build even stronger sustainability practices.

Among the new product lines showcasing eco-friendly options are EcoWoven custom patches from World Emblem and a new selection of eco-friendly and sustainable promotional products from Promo Direct.

According to a press release from World Emblem, the custom patches are “a new eco-friendly product engineered to replicate the authentic texture and appearance of traditional woven patches.”

Made from recyclable material, the product also allows for a full range of RGB, CMYK, and Pantone colors, along with very small and sharp details.

“We are continuously working to develop high-quality products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Randy Carr, CEO of World Emblem, in a press statement. “With the demand for eco-friendly materials continuing to grow, we are introducing EcoWoven Custom Patches to provide a sustainable solution that can be produced and shipped in as little as five business days.”

Promo Direct is also looking to provide more sustainable solutions in the promo world. The company says these new sustainable items have been integrated into several existing subcategories to assist customers in finding the right fit for their brand. These include:

  • Apparel
  • Auto
  • Home and tools
  • Bags
  • Calendars
  • Drinkware
