Going into 2025, there was a fair amount of optimism in the apparel decorating industry; however, changing supply chains, constant tariff updates, and global economic instability have brought uncertainty. In the most recent State of the Decorated Apparel (SODA) survey — conducted by Apparelist and PRINTING United Alliance and sponsored by Hirsch Solutions — participants reported that sales (all sources) increased just 0.9% on average during the first quarter of 2025. Sales are expected among participants to increase 1.2% on average for all of 2025.
