As we gear up for PRINTING United Expo, Sept. 10-12 in Las Vegas, we’re highlighting attendees set to explore the latest and greatest technology at the show. This installment is a good reminder that the printing industry has room for everyone — from at-home crafters to large commercial operations.

Hey Let's Make StuffCori George — Owner and Creative Director of Hey, Let’s Make Stuff

Apparelist: Can you share what your company does?

George: Hey, Let’s Make Stuff is a website and YouTube channel dedicated to providing high-quality tutorials and resources for crafters. I specialize in crafting with cutting machines, printers, lasers, and other advanced tools. Our goal is to inspire and empower crafters of all levels to create beautiful and functional projects using their crafting machines. I also co-host the Crafting for Profit podcast, which helps crafters turn their passion into a paycheck with handmade business strategies, craft business insights, and inspirational stories.

Apparelist: What made you decide to attend this year’s Expo?

George: My audience of at-home crafters is getting more and more excited about new printing technologies hitting the everyday crafter space, including sublimation, DTF (direct-to-film), and white toner printers. I’m looking forward to seeing what new technology is on the horizon specifically for this hobbyist audience so I can plan content as new technology emerges.

Apparelist: What do you hope to take away from the Expo?

George: I am hoping to find that some of the professional printers have been scaled down for hobbyist or small business use that I can share with my audience.

Apparelist: How do you plan to make the most of your time at the Expo?

George: I’m attending with my podcast co-host and some members of our team, and I’m hoping to spend our time really seeking out those companies that are looking to make headway into the at-home crafter space.
