As we gear up for PRINTING United Expo, Sept. 10-12 in Las Vegas, we’re highlighting attendees and exhibitors set to attend. In case you missed it, check out our most recent coverage:

Russ Knab — Co-owner of Colorful Stitches Embroidery (pictured above with Co-owner Gabriella Knab)

Apparelist: Can you share more about your company and what you do?

Knab: Our company Colorful Stitches Embroidery, in Mountain View, California, started in July 2004. It’s a small shop that embroiders items that customers bring in or buy from us. [The] majority of our customers only need a few items. Those customers turn into long-term customers or larger orders.

Apparelist: What made you decide to attend this year’s Expo?

Knab: Besides it’s Vegas! We like to keep seeing what’s new for updates for the equipment and to visit our regular vendors and meet new vendors.

Apparelist: What do you hope to take away from the Expo?

Knab: Our shop is tiny. So, maybe finding a vendor that can offer what our customers want [that] we can’t physically fit in our shop and find that quality that’s expected.

Apparelist: What products, brands, or services are you most looking forward to seeing?

Knab: We like to visit with vendors that offer laser service. Hoping to see if our small shop is worth their time.

Apparelist: How do you plan to make the most of your time at the Expo?

Knab: For our time at Expo, we visit the vendor list and plan to visit whom we use now and then fill the day with ones that can meet new goals for our customers.
