Gildan Expands Reach, Blanks Now Available in Indian Market
Gildan, an apparel brand offering basics, announces the expansion of its reach in Asia. The brand announced its entry into the Indian market during Apparel Sourcing Week — an event focused on apparel decoration — hosted in Bengaluru, India, in July.

Gildan Activewear has partnered with a distributor in India to make the expansion possible. The launch includes the brand’s core products and will be supported by a complete marketing and distribution strategy to maximize visibility and availability. Eventually, Gildan Activewear intends to grow its product offerings in the Indian market with the launch of American Apparel.
Currently, the company owns and operates manufacturing facilities in Central America, the Caribbean, North America, and Bangladesh.
