Allmade Launches Earth Day Contest to Celebrate ‘Earth Day Every Day’
Allmade is asking decorators from around the country to join its Earth Day event. The company is hosting a contest in which apparel decorators create a short video showcasing what they’re doing to celebrate Earth Day every day.
“We feel like this incredible community learns best from each other through our individual story and experiences,” says Mel Lay, marketing manager and co-founder at Allmade. “This event is meant to spark and share those experiences with one another. One print shop’s small eco change might influence another’s for the better!”
Decorators are asked to create their video reels and share them on social media before April 21. The Allmade team will reshare every video, while a panel of judges will watch and choose their top three favorites. Winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22.
If you aren’t sure where to start with your video, you can find a few suggestions from the Allmade website, including:
- You and your team cleaning up in your city
- Tips and tricks you use to stay sustainably happy year-round
- Share a story of someone in your community making a difference for the planet and people
Prizes are up for grabs. First place will earn you an all-expenses paid trip to Honduras, where Allmade T-shirts are cut and sewn. The second-place winner will receive a $1,000 credit for Allmade shirts. Third place will receive a $500 donation made in their name to the charity of their choice.
Rules for submission are as follows:
- Video length: 15 seconds – 1 minute
- Tag: @allmadeapparel in the video
- Post on TikTok and/or Instagram
- Use hashtag: #earthdaywithallmade
- Share by Friday, April 21, 2023
A full list of details as well as a submission form is on the Allmade site.
“We would love for anyone and everyone to join in,” says Lay. “It’s our obligation to share inspiration to ignite change in our industry for the planet and makers!”
