Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) frequently has something to say on social media. He’s been known to go on tirades regarding a plethora of topics, including his family and personal life. Now Ye has a few thoughts to share about adidas, a longtime partner.

According to multiple sources, Ye has a serious problem with the apparel giant specifically regarding his footwear. The performer is targeting the company with claims that adidas has been copying his designs and trying to move his Yeezy brand, which is worth over a billion dollars inside of adidas according to a report shared on Yahoo! Finance, forward without his approval and liking.

Ye got more dialed in with his attacks by focusing his attention on adidas executives, namely Senior Vice President/General Manager Daniel Cherry III. In a variety of scathing posts, Ye  states that he’s upset because, he claims, adidas never received his approval for hiring Cherry III. He has even targeted a lawyer named Ekwan Rhow, who he claims adidas hired to “change the contract” between the parties.

All of this mainly stems from the shoe debate.

Ye continues to circle back to the argument that adidas has “stolen my [expletive] designs amongst other things.” He’s even gone so far as to, seemingly, issue an ultimatum: fix it or he walks.

Beyond stealing designs, Ye also now claims that the apparel and footwear manufacturer has offered him a $1 billion USD buyout, which apparently he takes offense to. “… They tried to buy me out for 1 billion dollars [USD]. My royalties next year are 500 million dollars [USD] alone,” one post read.

What’s next to come in this feud is anyone’s guess, but it seems for now, the situation is continuing to unfold.
