Vans and Netflix Team Up for ‘Stranger Things’ Collaboration
Fans of the Netflix hit series “Stranger Things” can now get their hands on even more merchandise. Recently, Netflix has worked with the likes of Metallica, Doritos, and even Quiksilver to create a true fan experience. Now, Vans is getting in on the action with a merch line scheduled to drop before the fifth — and final — season of the show.
The Vans X Stranger Things collaboration merges some of the iconic elements from both the skate brand and the show, according to an article shared by The National News. Pieces will feature bold patterns, such as the renamed lace-up high top, the Hellfire Club Sk8-Hi, which is tricked out in red and black motifs from the show, including daggers and axes.
Not to be left out are the Vans Authentic and classic Slip On styles. The Authentic has been reworked with red and white checks for Surfer Boy Pizza, while the Slip On comes completely covered in squares of poster art.
The collection will also feature apparel, though reportedly that will be less dramatic. The show’s Demogorgon character will be showcased on a backpack as well as T-shirts and long sleeve tops. Vans is also offering customization through its website, although what that entails has not yet been revealed.
The Vans X Stranger Things collaboration goes on sale on Aug. 26 through the Vans website as well as other outlets.
