Image Apparel Solutions (IAS) announces the launch of an online store platform that complies with NCAA Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) regulations.

Since the landmark Supreme Court decision in NCAA v. Alston, universities have struggled with how to offer personalized merchandise while ensuring student athletes are appropriately compensated under NIL regulations, according to a press release shared by IAS. The company’s online store option aims ensure that personalized athletic apparel can be sold to an athlete’s fans, family members, and supporters, and the student athlete will receive their due royalty.

“Since NIL compliance is new, there are very few guidelines and historical data to reference,” IAS President and Apparelist advisory board member Tim Kelliher says. “We already were offering an online store for our college accounts. With NIL becoming a factor, we knew had had do develop a simple and easy solution for our platform to be NIL compliant.”

To ensure a streamlined, secure, and transparent process, IAS partnered with Athlete Licensing Company (ALC), experts in NIL compliance and administration. “Athletic Licensing Company have been the perfect fit,” states Kelliher. “Once we had the framework developed, we vetted the program with a number of universities. Many adjustments were made based on NIL regulations, licensing requirements, and development of an agreement portal. The entire time our team was working on the backend development of the platform.”

“We’ve developed a straightforward solution to an extremely difficult problem,” Kelliher continues. “Our expertise in branded apparel and merchandising, combined with ALC’s expertise in NIL regulations and disbursements ensures that athletic programs can offer high-quality, personalized merchandise to their fans, know that their student athletes are being compensated fairly, and maintain their compliance.”

“ALC is proud to partner with IAS to administer the NIL rights of the athletes they serve,” said ALC President, Bobby Bramhall. “IAS’s NIL focus is what this new age in college athletics is all about, offering great products, keeping athletes at the center, and providing revenue opportunities that benefit the student athletes alongside the institutions they play for. Thanks to IAS, I will be wearing the names, logos, and brands of my favorite college athletes in year two of NIL.”
