Kornit Digital Ltd. announces that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Germany-based Tesoma, a global manufacturer of textile curing solutions.

Kornit states that Tesoma’s technology and solutions align with its vision for incorporating robotic process automation and digitizing the on-demand textile production process. “This acquisition will further empower Kornit’s customers to operate an end-to-end production process with greater automation capability, exceptional retail quality, and a more expansive range of possibilities that will continue to validate our alternative model for the global fashion industry,” Ronen Samuel, Kornit’ digital chief executive officer, said in a statement.

Integrating Kornit’s print systems with Tesoma’s curing technology is expected to yield intelligent user functionalities, such as quality assurance mechanisms and industry 4.0 connectivity and functions, in addition to automating key steps of the production process, according to the press release.

The acquisition is expected to be completed on or before April 1, 2022, following the satisfactory completion of business transition and integration plans, according to Kornit.
