Earth Day is near, and companies across the globe continue to celebrate in fun and exciting ways. Storm Creek is just one company joining the fold in the wholesale apparel world. To commemorate the day, it’s encouraging individuals and companies to check out its newly launched Sustainability School and Eco Quiz, where people can learn and test their knowledge.

“The fashion industry is the second-highest polluting industry in the world while producing 150 billion garments a year. Nearly 90% of that, or 40 million tons, ends up in landfills,” said Storm Creek CEO/Owner Teresa Fudenberg in a press release. “At Storm Creek, we are passionate about doing our part for the planet while offering customers a better, sustainably produced product.”

Storm Creek has been in the sustainable apparel game for some time — first starting a sustainable sourcing initiative in 2016 and eventually committing to a 100% sustainable line. Since launching its effort, it has “turned more than 24 million plastic bottles into eco-friendly, outdoor-inspired apparel,” according to the press release. The company sells to consumers and promotional product distributors.

Sustainability in Corporate

For Earth Day 2023, Storm Creek launched its Sustainability School, offering educational webinars, speaking engagements, and content, as well as an Eco Quiz for individuals to test their sustainability knowledge.

“More and more companies are seeking to offer their employees responsibly made high-quality products that last longer and are actually worn by their teams while building brand awareness,” Fudenberg added. “Every company that buys from us also gets a recycled bottle count on their invoices; for instance, if someone orders 1,000 of our most popular sweater fleece garments, that order alone constitutes 32,000 recycled bottles.”
