GSG Acquires Montroy Denver
GSG, a supplier of screen, digital, and sign equipment and supplies, announces the acquisition of the Denver, Colorado, location of Montroy Sign and Graphic Products.
According to a GSG press release, Montroy Denver will operate as Montroy through Jan. 27, 2023, at which time it will close. It will reopen as GSG on Feb. 1, with deliveries and shipments resuming. The address and Colorado phone number will stay the same, and current GSG employees will remain on staff.
“For the past 10 years, it was our goal to profitably service Colorado with the product lines that we represent,” Jim Wilson, president of Montroy Sign and Graphic Products, says in the press release. “Unfortunately for us, the Colorado market is best serviced by a more comprehensive offering, so a decision was made to move away from that market. GSG having a more diverse range of products, including screen printing, and their great service will enable them to reach out to a broader group of customers, and I am sure this will result in an excellent location for them.”
Mark Granberry, president of GSG, adds, “Acquiring the Montroy Denver operation is a unique opportunity for GSG. Not only does it allow us to expand our geographic coverage, but we can continue operations with little disruption as the staff at this location will remain intact. Opening a warehouse with products is easy, but finding talented people is what makes a branch successful. Being able to keep the people along with acquiring the assets, made the decision to move forward with this opportunity relatively easy!”
GSG isn’t the only one kicking off 2023 with acquisitions — Next Level Apparel recently acquired German apparel designer and manufacturer Stedman, and Pennsylvania-based L2 Brands acquired Ouray Sportswear and Locale Outdoor from S&S Activewear.
