Just in time to celebrate Earth Month, promotional products suppliers share their latest sustainability strides, including EcoVadis ratings and ESG reports.

EcoVadis Ratings

EcoVadis has become a trusted platform for sustainability assessment among promotional products suppliers and distributors. Companies like Charles River Apparel, HPG, Pop! Promos, and Pro Towels are just a few companies sharing their latest ratings.

Charles River Apparel recently earned a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis — awarded to the top 35% of companies assessed. “Earning this achievement on our first submission reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on people and the planet,” reads a LinkedIn post from the supplier. “Sustainability is a journey, and we’re proud to keep pushing for real change every step of the way.”

HPG earned a Platinum Medal from the sustainability rating provider — awarded to the top 1% of companies. HPG announced the news alongside the availability of its 2024 Sustainability Report, which highlights its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals and approaches.

Pop! Promos, which holds a Silver EcoVadis Medal (awarded to the top 15% of companies assessed), took to LinkedIn on Earth Day to share more about its commitments. “At Pop! Promos, we believe in doing our part — for our communities and our planet,” the post reads. “We’re committed to more efficient operations by eliminating single-use plastics, offsetting our CO₂ emissions, and supporting our neighborhoods through volunteer work and donations. From developing sustainable products and hosting quarterly giveback events to improving our EcoVadis status year after year, we’re always working toward a more positive impact.”

Pro Towels also received its Silver Medal after its sustainability assessment. The supplier shared the news on its LinkedIn, saying: “More than just a medal — this recognition is a testament to our commitment to responsible business practices and reinforces the high standards we uphold in our industry. A big Thank You to the Pro Towels team members who championed this rigorous submittal process and to our leadership who strive to make Pro Towels a business that leads with purpose and integrity.”

ESG Reports

In other environmental efforts, promotional products suppliers Goldstar and Garyline released their 2024 ESG reports.

Goldstar, which earned its Bronze Medal from EcoVadis in February, shares its achievements and goals in its latest ESG report. Achievements include a 70% reduction in the use of virgin plastic packaging, 60% of its plastic products being reusable or recyclable, the start of lifecycle assessment testing, and the launch of its “green team.” Goals for 2025 and beyond include expanding its “Made Better” products, increasing post-consumer recycled content to 35%, purchasing 95% FSC-Certified products, removing plastic tape from packaging, and achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

Garyline, which manufactures recycled plastics and prints promotional products, highlights its continued commitment to circularity, energy efficiency, and reducing overall waste. Its goals for 2030 include reducing emissions by 10% using SBIs, minimizing its annual carbon footprint by 10%, decreasing waste production by 20%, and enhancing circular production processes by 10%.
