Print for Profit Challenge Launches with Focus on Building Profitable Print Shops
The Print for Profit Challenge, an online event designed to help both new and experienced print shop owners determine the viability and direction of their business, launches January 28-30, 2025. This three-day challenge offers live, interactive sessions packed with actionable insights, step-by-step guidance, and practical strategies for turning a passion for printing into a profitable business.
Created by Jesse Poteet of Startup Screen Printing in partnership with Jonathan Overmyer of Golden Press Studio, the challenge is born from the hard-learned lessons of building a print shop from scratch, according to Poteet. “I know what it’s like to feel stuck — excited about making money with every order but watching the profit disappear due to unexpected challenges,” he says. “This challenge is all about helping people skip those pitfalls and get on the right track.”
Over three sessions, Poteet and Overmyer will help attendees:
- Understand the essentials of profitability
- Define clear goals for their shop and life
- Identify their audience and the right products for them
- Learn time-saving tips for the printing process
- Build a systemized plan to grow their shop — and eventually their team
Print for Profit Challenge Registration Options
Participants can choose between two packages:
- General Admission ($19): Includes access to live sessions, 24-hour replay access, and a private Facebook group for continued support
- Platinum Admission ($49): Adds live Q&A before each session and 30-day access to the recordings, perfect for deeper learning
“The cost of staying stuck is bigger than people realize,” Poteet believes. “It’s not just the money you’re losing — it’s the time, the frustration, and the opportunities you’re missing by not getting it right the first time. That’s what this challenge is here to fix.”
Registration closes on January 23, 2025, and spots are limited to ensure a high-quality experience. The link to get more info and register for the event is go.startupscreenprinting.com/build.
