This year, WB/Week — hosted by MADE Lab — is bringing a new location, new educational partners, and new techniques to learn and master water-based screen printing. Set to take place from Feb. 27 to March 1, 2025, the event will feature sessions led by Real Thread and B-Unlimited. The location of the event will be at the ROQ.US building in Clermont, Florida and Real Thread in Orlando, Florida.

“Changing up WB/Week to a new location and new time of year opens the door for more print shops to learn and increase their water-based screen-printing skills,” notes Ryan Moor, cofounder of MADE Lab. “We are passionate about helping more shops learn the benefits of traditional water-based, discharge, and HSA inks because of the premium quality and retail finish they provide apparel. So many shops don’t invest in it or even know that it’s also an easy skill to differentiate yourself in a competitive market.”

Attendees will join Jeremiah Bates from Real Thread for an in-depth session on high solid acrylic (HSA) printing, followed by a visit to Real Thread’s facility in Orlando. Day three dives into retail and licensed apparel printing with advanced discharge methods. Then, Nathan Foster and Ben Stawn from B-Unlimited will show attendees how to unlock unlimited color potential with hybrid printing using two water-based screens and Avient’s hybrid ink formulations.

“We are most excited about bringing in new partners to WB/Week this year with B-Unlimited and Real Thread,” Moor adds.

For those new to water-based screen printing, John MaGee and Ray Smith, along with the MADE Team, will lead the WB/Basics Workshop to learn the foundations.
