On the Hunt for Knowledge: Apparel Lab Excited for Education, Connections at PRINTING United Expo
With PRINTING United Expo 2024 only being a few short months away — Sept. 10 – 12 in Las Vegas — everyone in the print industry is gearing up for one of the best events to network, explore new technology, and learn about new business strategies. Highlighting this year’s event on the apparel decoration side will be a strong lineup of exhibitors, education sessions, and a re-imagined Apparel Zone powered by Apparelist Live.
As we prepare for this year’s Expo, we’re putting the spotlight on a few of the attendees already registered and ready to make the most of everything it has to offer. Check out why they’re excited to be onsite.

Apparelist: How many years have you attended PRINTING United Expo?
Mclellan and Reynolds: Two years. We are constantly on the hunt for knowledge. New information, better operational best practices, and staying up to date with what’s new technology wise in the industry.
Apparelist: What are you most looking forward to at this year’s Expo?
Mclellan and Reynolds: We always love visiting with the vendors and reps we work with. It is a great chance to catch up with them in person, talk shop, but also connect as a human. One of our main goals is always to see and experience new print technologies and what other tech is on the horizon. First-hand exposure is what helps us to make better informed decisions about our shop’s growth plans.
Apparelist: Can you share some of your previous takeaways from the last couple years?
Mclellan and Reynolds: In the last years of various PRINTING United events, we’ve been educated on things like M&A practices in the industry that actually led to multiple opportunities for an acquisition by our shop, and the shared knowledge from other industry leaders that has helped shape our purchasing decisions for new equipment and technologies we have pursued. From novice to industry titan, the value offered here in PRINTING United [Expo] is something you should heavily consider for all decision makers in your organization.
Apparelist: Do you have any advice for those who might be attending PRINTING United Expo for the first time?
Mclellan and Reynolds: You need multiple days. Plan out and schedule meetings with vendors that you DEFINITELY want to talk to in person. Make sure you make time to get face-to-face with the folks you currently work with, but be ready to be pulled into really cool booths that you did not plan on stopping by to try and check out something new or fun. There is just so much to learn and see.
