SODA Survey Opens Ahead of 2024 Apparel Decoration Summit
The industry survey provides real data points to help apparel decorators grow their business
The State of the Decorated Apparel (SODA) survey is now live. Sponsored by Kornit Digital, the SODA survey is designed to give real data points, insight into economic changes, and the opportunities and challenges that the apparel decorating community is experiencing.
The apparel decorating industry is constantly evolving, with cutting-edge technologies and global economic changes creating exciting new opportunities. For those decorators wondering how they are doing compared to other shops, how to stay on top of these changes, and wanting to capitalize on every opportunity for growth, it can be hard to find a source of reliable information.
The best way to help decorators understand these numbers is for them the participate in the survey. As the PRINTING United Alliance team collects and analyzes the results, it is able to provide accurate insight that is useful to businesses of all sizes within the community.
Those that participate in the survey will receive access to the results once published. “Key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, operating costs, prices, and profitability provide guidance on what’s happening and what’s ahead,” explains PRINTING United Alliance Chief Economist Andy Paparozzi . “Expectations for major apparel decoration products provide insight into what’s hot and what isn’t. And responses to questions about investment plans, what SODA participants would most like to improve about their companies, and how they plan to strengthen profitability during the 12 months ahead provide insight into how apparel decorators plan to build a sustainable competitive advantage.”
Data Analysis Presented Apparel Decoration Summit
In addition to participants receiving published results, key findings will be presented by PRINTING United Alliance at the Apparel Decoration Summit, scheduled to take place June 3-5, 2024, in Nashville. The presentation will include analysis of several data points that attendees can apply to their businesses. “I expect insightful responses to new questions about print-on-demand services and the analog-digital transformation,” says Paparozzi. “I’ll also be very interested in how sales and profitability are trending so far this year for SODA participants, their expectations for the full year, the products they believe have the most growth potential, and what they see as their biggest opportunity in 2024.”
Previous iterations of the SODA survey have already brought to light important areas of growth and how to address top-of-mind challenges. Paparozzi presented the last round of findings at PRINTING United Expo 2023 in Atlanta. Click here to access that exclusive footage.
