Allmade Apparel announces the three winners of its Earth Day video contest. In order of first, second, and third, the winning shops are Zome Design, All Quality Graphics, and Abi-Saad Prints.

Throughout the month of April, Allmade asked for video submissions of how apparel decorators are showcasing their sustainable practices. The brand then utilized a panel of judges to select the three winners. Prizes include an all-expenses paid trip to Honduras, where Allmade T-shirts are cut and sewn, for the first place winner; a $1,000 credit for Allmade shirts for second place; and a $500 donation made in the name of the third place winner to the charity of their choice.

Zome Design, located in Spokane, Washington, takes home the grand prize. The company offers a variety of services, including screen printing, embroidery, promotional products, signs and banners, and more. “We were so impressed with all their planet-friendly initiatives, and Bentley (the shop dog) got in on the challenge too!” said Allmade in a press release.

Coming in second place is All Quality Graphics. The Citrus Heights, California-based decorator won the $1,000 Allmade credit for turning screens into planter beds (pictured above). “Our beautiful earth and precious kids are the main motivation to implement sustainable practices at All Quality Graphics,” Jessica Tillery, founder, tells Apparelist. “From a business perspective, we are highly motivated by efficiency, employee morale, cost savings, and attracting the right clients. … I hope [our garden project] inspires other shops to get creative with repurposing their screens and creating an onsite garden to provide a rejuvenating space, along with fresh fruit and veggies for their team.”

Taking home the $500 charity donation prize is Abi-Saad Prints out of Taunton, Massachusetts. The shop specializes in custom apparel printing and graphic design. According to Allmade, “We loved all of their shop practices and how they cleaned up around their shop. They even pulled a cart out of the river!”
