Get ready for camp. No, not summer camp. This camp is for screen printers who want to grow their water-based ink prowess. Presented by MADE Lab and PRINTING United Alliance, WB Camp is a two-day exploration of art and technology for modern water-based ink printing designed for intermediate to advanced screen printers.

Taking place on July 29 and 30 in Fort Worth, Texas, the camp will be presented by several experts from around the industry, including Night Owls, Matsui Color, SAATI, and Timber Print Labs. First held in 2019 in Sacramento, California, Tom Davenport and Brett Bowden (co-founders of MADE Lab) worked with PRINTING United Alliance to bring together experts from shops and manufacturers to give fellow printers a better understanding of the how’s and why’s of water-based printing.

Now, two and a half years later, this year’s WB Camp will feature expanded curriculum and content. Topics will include:

  • Color separations and print engineering for water-based ink printing
  • Stencil-making for water-based ink printing
  • Water-based ink mixing and matching
  • And more

While presenters will provide their thoughts and experiences, attendees should be prepared to roll up their sleeves for some hands-on learning. Registrants can also look forward to networking with peers and pros alike.
